Frequently Asked Questions

Our goal is to inform homeowners about the current changes in electricity specific to their area. The best way to provide this information directly to homeowners is door to door. The representatives strictly determine which homes qualify for subsidized energy programs, and for those that do qualify, they schedule an appointment where homeowners can receive more information specific to their situation.

A technician will conduct an energy evaluation, looking at the attic, HVAC, thermostat, lighting and anything else that may be impacting energy consumption. They will then explain the programs that the local utility company offers, the changes happening with current infrastructure, and, lastly, the options available for the home. All technicians are experts in their particular area and will be able to answer any questions as they pertain to electricity consumption.

The representatives in the neighborhood all receive hourly pay and are not selling anything. They strictly determine which homes qualify for a federally subsidized program. Homeowners who are interested in learning about their options can schedule an appointment with a technician. The technicians are also W-2 employees, and their role is to further educate and inform homeowners about the details of their current electricity situation. If homeowners are interested in taking action, the technicians can help facilitate that and connect them with certified organizations that qualify for rebates from the utility company. Often, homeowners choose not to make any changes, but gain a better understanding of how their bill works, ways to save, what areas of their home are inefficient and what to anticipate in the future.
